Potassium polyacrylamide for drilling fluids

Potassium polyacrylamide (KPAM, also known as potassium polyacrylate) is a water-soluble anionic polymer drilling fluid treatment agent. It is copolymerized with acrylamide and potassium acrylate as the core monomers. It is a widely used shale inhibitor and filtration reducer in drilling fluid systems, and also has a slight flow pattern regulating effect. It is suitable for various water-based drilling fluid systems such as fresh water and brine, and is especially suitable for drilling shale formations that are prone to hydration and collapse.
